QuestionI had four miscarriges & I don't know why. I am 22 years old. I have been trying since I was 19 & I am really trying to have a baby. No doctors want to help me. I went to a lot of doctors & they tell me to try again. Please help I will really appreciate it. Please!

You have a diagnosis/classification of recurrent abortion/miscarriage. You need to go see a reproductive specialist called a reproductive endocrinologist. This doctor will take a complete history and do some specialized testing to try to find the reason for your miscarriages. It is possible that you or your husband is transmitting a genetic disorder,you have an immunologic disorder, have a uterine/anatomical disorder or infectious disease. These need to be looked for. A general Ob/Gyn or Family doc will not have the specialized knowledge to help. This is considered an "infertility" problem. This is where you need to start. In addition, you can look up the Reproductive Immunology Associates website(www.rialab.com). They are immunologists specializing in the immunological basis for recurrent miscarriages and have a lot of info you can read. You can also go to www.asrm.org, which is the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, and they also have information regarding this subject. Depending on the findings from the testing, an appropriate treatment plan can then be instituted to help you retain your pregnancy. There is no blanket treatment that we use. The treatment has to be tailored to the cause of the problem.
