Makeup Techniques for a More Feminine Appearance

Question
Hello, sorry for my bad english. I hope you can help me!!!
I would like to know how to make my features look more feminine using make up. My face is not very feminine, it's too long, my eyes are not too big, i have facial hair that bothers me a lot...my features are very hard actually. I look more like Easter
Island's Big stone head and I would love to have a porcelain doll look if you know what I mean, but no plastic surgery, that scares me a lot; just make up.

Answer
Hello Alexandra! :)

Your English is just fine.

There is no need for plastic surgery but maybe a little self esteem boosting. Don't be so hard on yourself!
Everyone has beautiful features so now all we have to do is 'enhance' them.

As I don't know what you look like, may I ask where is your facial hair? Is it on your upper lip or is it on the sides of your face?
If you have upper lip hair, you can visit a salon or spa that will either wax it for you or use a technique called Threading.
If you can afford it financially, a new way to remove unwanted hair is by laser treatments.
For this you would need to contact a dermatologist or high end spa.

How is your diet? Are you eating healthy? Do you drink up to 8 glasses of water daily?
Do you have a skin care regimen and if so, are you cleansing and moisturizing your skin?
The reason for these questions are if you eat healthy, it will show up on your skin.

To accent your facial features with makeup, you could start with simple techniques.
Here are a few tips:

- To make your eyes look larger, apply mascara to your eyelashes. If your eyelashes aren't curly, you can use an eye lash curler (which you can find at any drugstore)to curl them. After  you curl your eyelashes, you can apply the mascara to the top and the bottom lashes.
- Apply a light concealer below your eyes to open and brighten up the eye area.
- Use a light eye shadow on your eyelid for a bright wide eye look.

Wear a bright color lipstick to draw attention away from your eyes. Bright reds are the 'in' and the hip color this season.
Add a sheer glimmery lipgloss for a 'wow' effect.

I'm happy to answer any questions or continue this advise.

In the meantime, have faith in yourself. When you portrait a happy positive person, you attract happy positive people.
Be the BEST that you can be and people will surround you!
Don't allow negativity to get you down.

Look forward to your reply.

Warmly,

Elaine :)
