Sunscreen Application with Bio-Oil: Does it Still Protect?

Hi!  I am using Bio Oil with water as a wash in the mornings.  Then I apply a moisturizer with an sunscreen.  Will the sunscreen still work if I am applying the oil before?  I am fair skinned and do not want to get a sunburn this summer.  I know oils are used in tanning.

Hi Tammy,

If your sunscreen contains the ingredients of either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide then you will get full sun protection. These are light reflective ingredients. If it does not contain one or more of these ingredients then you aren't getting full sun protection regardless of using your bio oil or not.
