QuestionHi,
I live in Dhaka, Bangladesh and there arent any waterproof sunscreens available. Purchasing from online is not an option. I do a lot of swimming, and I need a sunscreen, that prevents skin darkening.
1. Now, I was thinking if I could buy ordinary sunscreen of high SPF and mix it with some oil/liquid that will prevent it from getting washed away.
Do you know of any such recipes??
2. Btw I tried to follow an article on waterproof sunscreen, but I couldnt find Beeswax, Zinc Oxide and Butter Blend here, though I found the Oil Blend(Coconut Oil) and Vitamin E Oil.
Do you know of anything else that I can replace the Beeswax, Zinc Oxide with? How do I make the butter blend?
AnswerLast year in America, they stopped letting manufacturers use the claim "waterproof" because it's impossible to maintain over a long time. No matter whether you are getting wet or not, you need to reapply frequently. That would be your best bet over trying to make a waterproof variety. However if you read the labels carefully some may say water resistant on the back.
