Sunscreen for Oily, Wheatish Skin: Is Parsol Safe & How to Use?

Question
Hello..I am 16years old,and have an oily(not severely) skin.I am from a very hot climate country so my seems to tan very easily and my complexion is wheatish.I wanted to use sunscreen to protect my skin from getting tanned(i look ugly when tanned). Can i use sunscreens which have parsol content in them will they harm my skin?i have already bought eraser sunscreen spf 30 which has parsol in it.Can i mix that sunscreen with organic aloe vera gel to reduce its harshness?Hoping for a helpful answer.

Answer
Dear Piya~

Since Parasol (Dimethico-diethylbenzalmalonate, Polysilicone-15) is not an approved sunscreen in the US, I'm not that familiar with it. Nor, could I find information on potential negative effects of using it. I'm sorry I cannot be of assistance with this.

However, if you are concerned about using chemical sunscreens, you can opt to use sunscreens with zinc oxide and titanium dioxide which are the most natural sunscreen ingredients available.  Brands such Rocky Mountain, Dr. Brandt,  Blue Lizard, SolBar, and Vanicream are all sunblock products that contain these ingredients.

Best of luck, Piya,
