Pastel Floral Nail Art Tutorial: Girly Pink & Yellow Ombre

Summer for me always translated into bright, bold neon colors and that’s the kind of designs which gets all the nail art and lacquer love. The season is still going strong, and if you’re not a fan of brights, this girly pink and yellow pastel floral nail art blends the sparkle of glitter with a punch of ombre to complement the lively spirit of the season. For this nail art, I was inspired by the radiance of shine and glam against my summery mood, and I opted for a pastel floral element in a brazen shade of yellow and pink.

Since all designs have been shown on my long nails, I’ve done this one on my mom’s shorter ones to show you how much scope short nails can provide. This striking nail art is fun and is an unexpected way to play with a hint of color and glitz. So, ladies keep reading this further to see how you can nail this look, too!

Pink And Yellow Flower Nail Art:

You can do this look by following the below-listed steps:

Materials Needed For Pastel Nail Art:

  • Light Pearl Pink Nail Polish. You can try: Zoya Nail Polish in Jaime
  • Light Pearl Yellow Nail Polish, I prefer Pale Yellow Pearl Nail Polish by Beyond The Nail
  • Multicolor Glitter Nail Polish, I used Sally Hansen Gem Crush Nail Color in Big Money
  • Hot Pink Nail Polish in, Colorbar Pro Nail Lacquer
  • White Acrylic Paint
  • Green Acrylic Paint
  • 0 No. Brush
  • Sponge
  • Acetone
  • Cotton Swabs
  • Dotting Tool or Toothpick
  • Base coat
  • Top coat

Stepwise Tutorial:

Step 1:

Begin your nail art by applying a good layer of base coat on your nails to prevent dark colors from staining your nail beds and harmful effects of nail polishes. I have used China Glaze Calcium Gel Fortifier. Once it completely dries off, do an ombre by sponging the bottom half of your nail with the pink and the top half with the yellow. Before it dries completely, apply two coats of the multicolor glitter to blend the two colors. This will make you fingernails look like crushed jewels.

Step 2:

Let it dry completely. Once done, apply five dots with the back of the toothpick or a brush to resemble a flower.

Step 3:

Now wait for them all to dry and then, in the same way, place a hot pink dot in the middle of the dots, flower.

Step 4:

Once done, wait for it to dry completely and then with the bristle end of the brush, add tiny green dots in a diagonal line as shown in the picture below. Next, use a cotton swab dip it in acetone and clean the excess mess a little easier from your fingers and around your nails. I have used ULTA Maximum Strength 100% Pure Acetone Nail Polish

Final Look:

Apply two good layers of a transparent topcoat (I recommend Inglot Dry & Shine Top Coat) to seal in your design and to keep your chains stuck properly.See how pretty it looks on short nails.
