DIY Jeans & Zipper Nail Art: Water Decals Tutorial

This Jeans and Zipper Water Decals Nail Art Tutorial is divided into two parts:

Part 1: Saran wrap nails in blue and light blue.

Part 2:  Applying zipper nail water decals.

Nail Art Tutorial Using Zipper Nail Art Decals

Things you will need:

• Konad regular nail paint in Pastel blue
• Color bar exclusive nail paint no 19
• A cup of water
• Tweezers
• Cling film
• Zipper nail art decals (I got mine from bornprettystore)
• Topcoat and base coat.

Before starting the zipper nail art, prepare a few things in advance, just to keep it away from being messy later.

Cut 10 zipper nail decals as shown in the picture below and make 10 small little balls of cling film for both hands.

Now let’s get started!

Part 1: Saran wrap nails

Step 1:

After applying a basecoat, paint your nails with a pastel blue color as shown in the picture below:

Step 2:

After your base color dries completely layer it up with a darker shade, here I used color bar exclusive 19, as shown in the picture below…do one nail at a time:

Step 3:

Take a ball of a cling film and dab it gently to get the effect ….Do it slowly so that you don’t disturb the base color, as shown in the pictures below:

Step 4:

Repeat the step on all the nails.

Step 5:

Clean the mess around your nails using a flat brush dipped in a nail remover and then apply a top coat.

Part 2: Applying zipper nail art decals

Step 1:

Take a cup of water and dip the already cut water decals using tweezers for 1-2 minutes as shown in the picture:

Step 2:

After 1-2 minutes it will slide automatically from its backing.

Step 3:

Peel the decal from its backing using your tweezers as shown in the picture below:

Step 4:

Put that decal wherever you want to apply and finish it with a top coat and you are good to go.

Apply your decals to all your fingers.
