Broken White Gold Necklace Repair: Can It Be Fixed?

I bought a white gold necklace for my girlfriend costing about one hundred and seventy pounds.  The necklace is very thin and unfortunately it became entangled with something and the necklace broke.  Is it possible to repair white gold or should the necklace be written off?

Terrence, any skilled jeweler who does jewelry repair work should be able to repair the necklace. White gold is repaired using a brazing material (gold solder) formulated for white gold.  The necklace can certainly be repaired, at substantially less loss than the scrap the chain.
