QuestionI have a ring that's to large. I used either duct or electrical tape on it to take up some of the room. A couple of weeks later I noticed the white gold was starting to turn a little more towards yellow gold. Is there anything I can do to get the color back completly white?
AnswerSorry I'm not really an expert on White Gold but my understanding is that is white all the way through... I think that it is alloys like platinum and make it completely white (silver color)..
you may have a layer of white gold electro plated over gold..?
couple things here... first bring it to a jeweler and have him analyze the gold...
most jeweler should do this for free if not definitely shop around.. it's a simple test by rubbing the ring on a stone and then putting acid on it..
most jewelers will resize a ring for around $20... also there is a small device
that fits into the ring and makes it smaller...
