QuestionQUESTION: Hi Peter,
It's me again :)
The workman I am employing to cast my rings says he can't make an adjustable finger ring out of aluminium as its too soft and will get warped too easily. What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance!
ANSWER: Greetings,
You need to find something a bit more flexi....so I'd suggest silver or something like copper and have it plated.
Good Luck.

QUESTION: The problem is I'm asking him to get everything done in Aluminium i.e. he will weld the top decorative portion to the ring and that will definitely be in aluminium, is there any way I can do this with aluminium?
AnswerHello Again,
I think there would be two options.
Either you work with the aluminium and find what thickness is not too thick, not too thin, whilst still giving both flex and strength.
Perhaps this would be achieved by using flatter and wider stock for the shank rather than taller half round stock.
You could also consider rivetting the top and bottom together either with the aluminium shank or using a copper shank, which would give the best flex.
Hope taht helps, P
