Creating Flower Rings on Stretchy Cord: Tips & Techniques

I have been making flower rings on fishing line but one customer wants me to string it on stretchy cord.  I am having a difficult time since my flower rings are woven and it is very hard to string the stretchy cord through the crystals.  Can you help me make a ring with stretchy cord?  What is the best stretchy to use and how do you finish it off?  What is the best needle that is easiest to thread to use on stretchy?  What is a good and easy pattern for ring bands?  Thanks

Your jewellery sounds fun but it is very different from what I do.
I would be trying a haberdasher, they'd likely have the finest stretchy....
There are all sorts of neoprene now which are used for drive belts, seals etc and you might find something of use heading down that road.
I've used sailing shock cord in spectacles before, but I'm guessing that would be way too thick.
