I have a question, I have a amethyst and qartz the rock is about 20 to 30 lbs. I am not sure how much it is worth or what to do with it?

Hello Karen and thank you for your inquiry. Quality is what matters when examining raw stones. If you intend to market it, you should have an appraisal by a gemologist as to quality, grade, etc. I am not familiar with market prices but you could check with one of the online auctions such as ebay.com for raw gemstones, geodes to get an idea of current market prices. After having it appraised you might be able to offer it to local jewelers studios for refining or place for sale ads in jewelers/gemstone magazines. check for these online.
