Identify Your Vintage Ring: Stone & Era Expert Analysis

Question
My husband gave me a ring when we were dating (over 28 years ago).  The stone looks like a garnet but not sure.  It is a large square cut and each side of the ring are 3 flowers or roses. The two outside roses appear to be a green gold alloy and the center is gold.  The inside band is stamped with the word "Princess" and "10K" and what appears to be a star with a cirle around it that is beside the "10K" stamp.  Can you help me to identify the stone and when this ring might have been made or where?  Thanks so much!

Answer
hello there are so many gemstones out there it is impossible to tell you without seeing the stone first-hand...you should go to actually more than one jeweler and get their opinions..keep going until you have two that match..guy think it would be next to impossible to figure out the age from where where the ring was made..
