Sell Your Engagement Ring Set: Appraisal & Potential Offer

I was conducting a search and saw that someone needed to get rid of a ring and you asked about it. I was wondering if you would purchase my ring?
It is a engagement ring and wedding band set. The band has small diamonds on both ring totalling approx. .50 ct. The engagment ring has a princess cut 1.08 ct D VS1- VS2. I know when i purchased and insured the ring it was appraised at 12,500  replacement value. I have not had the ring appraised lately, but can definitely have that done if need be. If you are not interested in the ring, can you give me a round about appraisal value so i know if any possible buyers are off?

the first problem we have is that the diamond is not certified by the GIA or EGL, we need papers and lab opinions as to the color and clarity.....without an independent appraisal, its someone's opinion. Rule of thumb is 20% of the appraised value so in this case the value is around 2400.00 for cash depending on the outcome of the egl or gia appraisal...with out looking at the stone I cant tell you what we would pay.... and I dont know if its truly a d vs-1 since there are NO lab graded papers.
