Selling & Authenticating Antique Yellow Diamond Rings - Expert Advice

Question

Yellow diamond/plantiu
QUESTION: We have our great-grandmother's ring which we assume is from the turn of the century or earlier, and most likely from Tiffany's jewelry since that was the regular place she purchased her jewelry.  We know that it is a nice piece, but have no idea how/where to sell it or to verify if indeed it was a Tiffany's piece.  Any ideas?  A picture is attached.

ANSWER: Hi Sylvia,

It would be best to see a Graduate Gemologist Jewelry appraiser for this one.
We help thousands of people like you by appraising their jewelry and teaching them how to sell it.
Try to find an appraiser graduate gemologist (GIA) in your area to help you.
I'm in the northeast if I can help.

QUESTION: Thank you for your advice and direction. We live in the Pacific NW--any possibility of a referral in Oregon?

Answer
If it is a Tiffany Piece it is always stamped Tiffany & Co.
Also try calling or emailing Tiffay & Co. They may recognize it if it's their own.
For an appraiser you can try http://www.pricescope.com
Look for a Graduate Gemologist Graduate of GIA.
