Copying Trademarked Diamond Rings: Legal & Gemological Insights

Question
Is it possible for a jeweler to make an exact copy of a ring with another jeweler's trademark on it?  Isn't there a copyright issue?  How will one find which jeweler made the copy?

Good question for the law enforcement police. I'm not quite sure how they go bout that.
