Buying Gemstones in Afghanistan: Avoid Scams & Identify Quality

Mr Covey I am in Afghanistan and want to know which stones should I buy while I am here and how do I prevent myself to getting ripped off. Gem testers here is there a way I can check if it is rigged. HELP..

Hi Joseph,

What are you buying?  Unless you have knowledge and experience in the type of stone you are buying it is difficult.  You would need a consultant to help you.  They would need to be there with you.  Maybe you could take pictures to get help.
However they would have to be very good pictures inorder for someone to judge them.

The first thing is what are you trying to buy and at what cost?
