Questionhi,iam on ocp's which i started within 12hours of doin it...i took levonogestrol and ethinylestradiol pills,,iam still on it...i just have 2 more tabs to take...ideally i should bleed after i stop pills...my query is wt if i dont bleed?? (may be i shud wait and c what happens...but this stress is killin me ....i want to kno wht i can posibly do?)probably iam pregnant then and wht options do i have?i cant tell anybody...its just 4 weeks i had unprotected sex...i would want to consider taking misoprostol...should i????

Your situation may well be the toughest one I have had to deal with. I'm not going to be able to give you total confidence no matter what you do. While taking the medications you are taking may reduce the chances of pregnancy, they don't eliminate it. And there could be complications, especially if you have certain medical conditions. This will tell you if you should be taking it in your particular case. And a lot of the pages I looked at didn't even mention using it to prevent pregnancy.
Levonogestrol seems to be considered more appropriate. The information I found indicated that if without it 80 women would become pregnant, with it, only 20 women would become pregnant. As you can see, it reduces the possibilities, but doesn't eliminate them.
As I understand it, misoprostol is also used as a contraceptive. The manufacturer says it is NOT to be taken by a pregnant woman because it can cause life-threatening complications. It is really a drug that is used for ulcer treatment. And the information I have is that used alone, it is more likely to cause complications.
Please keep in mind that I am not a doctor, and I cannot recommend that you take drugs. That would be practicing medicine without a license. I also won't tell you to hurt yourself.
The fact that you are in the United Arab Emirates complicates things for you as well, because of the possibility that someone may try to harm you if it is discovered you are pregnant. It is vitally important that you totally abstain from sex in the future. I don't have any idea how to advise you if what you are doing doesn't work. Your situation is serious, and I think you know that. All I can really do is pray for you. But PLEASE don't take this kind of risk again! If someone tries to force himself on you, fight back! In the meantime, try to hang in there and see what happens, but if it doesn't look like it worked, make some contingency plans. Don't just stay where you are and hope everything will work out.
