QuestionArthur, I have a ring that I purchased from an individual that I trust. It is a PT950 setting with a solitaire of just under one carat, six baguettes and six oval diamonds on each side if the solitaire. I had the ring appraised at a jeweler and know that I paid a fair price, but there was not paperwork with the ring, and I am trying to get the mfg of the ring. The person that I purchased
it from stated that it came from a jeweler in New York. The two stamps on the ring are PT950, and I believe OLCL, I can not be certain about the maker stamp.
Please advise if you have any suggestions on where I may find more information on this ring. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Terry
AnswerHi Terry,
PT 950 is 5% iridium - platinum OLCL is the manufactures hall mark.
I am not familliar with this hallmark.
There are Jewelers Hallmark publications out there in paperback and on the web if you search for them. Some of these publications atr free and some cost money to obtain.
I wish I could help you more.
