Mercury Spill on Gold Jewelry: Cleaning & Repair Advice

I dropped a fever thermometer on the counter and only noticed it hours later.  
I cleaned up the mercury carefully with a wet paper towel(s) and later that day
saw that my gold wedding band was almost all silver!  I've read a couple of
answers on this site by Thomas - interesting and informative, but leaving me
to find a jeweler in Tucson who could clean my ring. . . any additional
ideas/info?  Thanks very much.

Theres not much I can add. Depending on the type of ring will depend on how well it cleans up. I wish you good luck with this. If you have any specific questions on this subject I will try and answer them for you.
