Diamond Resizing & Sparkle: Identifying Stone Substitution

Hi. I sent my ring off to be resized through the store chain my finacee purchased it from. 2 weeks later we have the ring back, and somehow the near clear .75c diamond doesn't seem to sparkle like before. How do I know if they swapped out the stone in their repair shop? Does a consumer have any recourse? The gem is certified with Independent Gem. Lab in NY

The best way is to send it back to Independent Gem lab for a reverification.
