I was just wanting to know if there was something that caused this to happen like is there a medical reason for it? I want to add I DO have my overies and tubes... Also is there any kind of uterus transplant out there or is the only way I can have a child is serageant? Thank u for your time
AnswerHello Alyssa from Texas,
What you have is a congenital abnormality where the bottom part of the genital tract did not develop. Sometimes this can be due to a chromosomal abnormality, so you will need to have that checked. I cannot tell you what caused this in your case. You would need to undergo evaluation.
Uterine transplants do not exist at this point in time. Sorry. Your only option for having children is to use a surrogate, if your ovaries are functional. You will need to have testing to determine that. If the ovaries are functional, you can undergo IVF to retrieve the eggs, which can then be put together with your partners sperm and the resultant embryos can be placed into a surrogate.
Good Luck,
