Is a 14K Clasp Guarantee of a 14K Gold Bracelet?

I am making an assumption on a goldfish bracelet that I have that it is 14K because the clasps are stamped 14K. Is this assumption correct or does it just mean that the clasps are 14k?

Hello Diane and thank you for your inquiry. Usually if the clasps are stamped 14K, the item is also 14K BUT this is not always the case and if you are unsure, you should have it professionally tested.
