Identifying Vintage Jewelry Maker Marks: C&R with Triangle
QuestionI bought a 2 piece belt buckle at a local auction and can't seem to identify the makers mark. It's a 2 piece brass/bronze belt buckle with a art nouveau style goddessfigurehead in the center. On the back is a raised circle with a raised triangle inside. inside the circle are the letters C&R(the C is to the left of the triangle and the R is to the right of the triangle, and the & symbol is inside the triangle. Has anyone seen this before?
AnswerHi Jenna and thank you for your inquiry. I have seen this mark before and believe it is a vintage mark. However, I have been unable to find it in any of my resources. Your buckle sounds lovely ! I'll keep trying to find out information on it and will let you know. Otherwise all I can tell you is to search online for C & R Jewelry or C&R Buckle for a possible source. Sorry I couldn't be of any help on this one yet.
