Question I have just started polishing gemstones and making jewelry.
The problem is,the last phase of the polishing in the rock tumbler,the stones come out smooth as glass but not shiny.
What am I doing wrong? Please can you give me any tips. I follow the process to the letter,from coarse to polish.
AnswerI am not an expert in this but it must be the last polishing agent you are using for that stone...we used a aluminum oxide and polished
Lariamr by hand for final step...very glossy result..

forgot to mention that the final aluminum oxide was used on a polishing wheel with a leather polisher...
