I have an engagement ring that got covered in super glue how can I clean it without damaging it?

Hello,

Go to Home Depot and purchase some acetone.  Take a small glass jar with a steel lid, place the ring in it and cover it with acetone. Cover the jar with the lid tight so the acetone won't evaporate.
Do this where you have good ventilation also make sure you have no flames or anything hot that could ignite the acetone.  I use it all the time, it is safe if you are careful.  Let it soak for one to two hours.  Take out the ring and wipe it off dry with a soft cotton cloth.  For extra measure take an old tooth brush and put a drop of Dawn dish soap on it and with a little warm water scrub the ring and stones.  Then rinse well and dry again with the cotton cloth.
