Identifying a Class Ring: '34 BALFOURICK' - Seeking Information
Question15 years ago, I had found a class ring. These are the only markings on inside of ring 34 BALFOURICK. Can anyone tell me what it means? I have contacted BALFOUR jewelry several times and they wont return an email. I just want to know if it is real gold. I have tried on many occasions to locate the owner and I am trying to figure out what to do with it. Please advise. thanks T
AnswerHI TOMMY,
IF THERE IS NO QUALITY STAMP IN THE RING LIKE '10K' OR '14K' THEN IT IS PROBABLY NOT GOLD. THE BEST BET IS STILL BALFOUR JEWELRY, TRY CALLING THEM INSTEAD OF EMAIL. OTHER THAN THAT YOU KNOW AS MUCH AS I DO. YOU COULD GET IT TESTED FOR GOLD CONTENT ESPECIALLY IF IT NOT TARNISHED. TARNISH A LOT OF TIMES MEANS IT IS A BASE METAL. TRY YOUR LOCAL APPRAISER FOR TESTING. GOOD LUCK.
