Question
pendant
I have a pendant that was handed down from my father, his grandfather had given it to him and so on. The pendant says "Holy Mary ever virgin and conceived without sin" The inner circle says "Pray for is who implore thy aid". Under Mary is the numbers 1530, which I would guess is the date.
On the back are stars in a circle with a cross and the letter M. Under the M are two hearts which appear to have swords in the top of them.
I would guess it's made of brass and it's about 3/4" long by 1/2" wide. It is in excellent condition, I know it's hard to see in the photo.
I would love to know where this may have come from and if possible the value of it.

Hi Krissy,Unusual to say the least. by the looks of the Religious medal, and the inscriptions this is most probably Bronze. it is however a reproduction of a famous medal worn and made in Italy beack in the 16th century. Its value? Monitarily not much, maybe $25.00, but sentimentally worth keeping for sure. Hope this helps.
