Question
Guide Pin
Hello...
we have an old metal, gold colored (no enameling at all) Disney pin. I can't find it ANYWHERE on line. It is in the shape of a "D" and has the word "Guide" across the bottom. Inside the "D" is the castle with Tinkerbelle standing above it. I can't see any identifying marks, numbers, etc on it. We want to sell this, but would like to get some idea of what it is worth.
Thanks so much if you can assist us!

AnswerHello Dawn and thank you for your inquiry. As you probably already know, the pin you have could have been given to various "guides" employed by Disney's theme parks. The value would depend on rarity, age and materials used in it's manufacture. Karat gold ? it should be marked. There are several books on Disney collectibles that you might want to check out. They would be available at your local library or book store - online at amazon.com. Here is a site below that you might be able to utilize in your search for information. Just copy and paste the url into your browser address field and hit enter:

The other suggestion is to get an appraisal. Since you have a picture you might use the online appraisal site listed below. They do charge a minimal fee:

Hope this helps and good luck !
