Can you give me some kind of idea of the cost of cutting and faceting a raw or polki diamond?

If you get a rough diamond cut in the U.S. it will run you an average of $200 up to one carat. Most cutting of small rough is done out of this country. India and Isreal are the two largest cutters for small rough. In the U.S. it would cost more to cut a small piece rough (-.05ct) than the stone would be worth after cutting. All this is dependant on the condition and shape of the rough. So it would need to be evaluated by the cutter for a real price.
