Identifying Bohemian Garnets: A Guide for Collectors

Fifty years ago I was given some jewelry.  They are garnets that appear to be Bohemian garnets from pictures I have seen.  How can I tell for sure?  My grandmother is no longer with us and I have no way of knowing where they can from.

Hello,

I am not sure how anyone could tell where any garnets came from unless they are trace elements unique to the different mine sites in the world which is possible.  However it would take special testing using mass spectrometers or "LIBS" laser spectroscopy.
