What Does #825 Mean on a Bracelet? Sterling Silver & Value

I found a bracelet with the marking engraved #825, but no carat amount engraved.  does this number mean something, and could the bracelet be real.  thanks

although those tiny stamped markings on jewelry are hard to see, the marking was more likely "925" which means Sterling Silver....sometimes they are plated gold color and sometimes they are just white....if there are stones in the bracelet they are more than likely synthetic.....
