Decoding Ming's Jewelry Markings: H.K. Origin & Identification

Question
Did Ming's jewelry mark some of their earlier pieces with H.K. for Hong Kong?  If not, do you know who or what H.K. might refer to?  Thanks

Answer
Hello Pamela and thank you for your inquiry. There is a Ming's Jewelry in Hong Kong - contemporary jewelry company. If you mean Ming's Hawaii, I don't believe they were ever in Hong Kong and they specialized in mostly Hawaiian themed jewelry using sterling and ivory. There are several jewelry manufacturers in the US that used the HK mark - one was Haimes and Klein in New York c. 1940's.

Hope this helps !
