What does the jewelry stamp 19K 800 mean?  My husband paid for a platinum band but I thought the platinum stamp was PT 950.

Hi Malika,

You seem to be right. "19K 800" is a gold stamp for 19 karat gold which is 80.0% gold. Platinum is stamped PT900 or PT950 depending on the age of the piece. I think you should return to the store where you bought it and have this remedied.
