Decoding Your BGE Stamp: Understanding Sterling Silver and Gold Plating

I have a ring I believe came from India. Could the stampo be of Indian origin? It is stamped 925 BGE inside.If so, what does it mean?

The ring is sterling silver "925" stamped and it is also gold electroplated. But I am stumped on the "B" in BGE. Could it be an "H"? Then it would be Heavy Gold Electroplate. Or maybe "RGP" Rolled Gold Plate. Or just "GEP" Gold Electro Plated. I think most likely it is an "H" for Heavy Gold Electroplated. These stamps are world wide so it could be from India.
