Understanding Platinum Band Stamps: What Does 'PLAT 19' Mean?

Hi - My fiance and I just received a platinum wedding band that was ordered online with a stamp that reads "PLAT 19".  Any idea what the "19" means?  Thank you!

Hi Kim,

Platinum is supposed to be stamped to identify the platinum content of the piece.  For example, PLAT 950 is 95% pure platinum.  With this in mind, I find it hard to believe that your wedding band is only 19% platinum, and I am not even sure if that is possible.  

Is the hallmark clear enough that the "1" could not be mistaken for a mark made by the edge of the stamp and the numbers after the "9" are just missing?  Barring this, I am not sure why it would be stamped PLAT 19 and I would be calling the seller to ask questions.
