Do you have any idea about who the BYE artisan might be? I have spoken extensively with the seller, and she thinks that it might be Bobbie/Bobby Begay. What would the BYE stand for??
If you think that my seller is correct (or not), can you tell me anything about the artisan -- whoever it might be? Alive? Deceased? Male? Female? anything??
I am keeping this piece, not matter who made it, as I really LOVE the workmanship! I just like to more about the people who create such art, as I am a researcher by nature.
If I ever find the artist, or his/her work in the future, I would LOVE to acquire more!
Thanks so much for your assistance. What you folks do is truly wonderful! :o))
AnswerThank you for your inquiry. The BYE could be Bobby Begay if the letters are stamped in 1/16 Gothic print, the Y being larger than the B and E. That is the only artisan that I can locate with that particular letter combination. There were so many Begay artisans each one had to come up with their own identification and most used their initials some conjoined or with various prints, icons and designs. Hope this helps !
