Irregular Periods After Fibroid Surgery & Birth Control: What to Do

hi i head  surgery to remove fibriods 2 years ago and iwas told about 10 mounths ago that i have new ones ( i had ultra sound exam)  i m on on the pill and for the past 4 mounths i ve been bleeding before  i m done with my pack.  this last mounth i had it come about  a 1 1/2 wk early and it went for about 10 days which is longer than usuall.  it finally stopped .  this week now is supposed to be my actual period wk but it stopped.. my gyn told me not to take a week off  but to go right into  the next pack.  problem is i feel really bloated and uncomfortable as i do  the week before and during my period.  i m  no longer bleeding so why i m i bloated .  could it be because i didnt take the week off on my pill.

Dear Chi,

Thank you for writing me keep in mind that I am not a doctor but it seems to me that because of your fibroids surgery it maybe interfering with your regular period. You might feel bloated because of the surgery and your body is trying to adjust itself to having a period if it continues I would strongly suggest you talk to your doctor again and get them to help you more with your bleeding.
