Emergency Birth Control & Period Control with the Pill: What to Know

Hi,
I am currently on Yasmin pill and have taken two packs together, and currently on the second week of my second pack. I want to move my period to this weekend instead of next so can i have my 7 pill free days this week and start as normal next week as i have had more than 21 days on the pill already? Will i still be safe from pregnancy if i do this?

Hello Rhea,

I don't advise you to alter the way the pill is supposed to be taken. Any time you use hormones, they can change the way your natural cycle should be and in my opinion, that is not healthy. You most likely would be ok about pregnancy but I cannot guarantee that for sure. You should consult your physician about this question. Or pill provider.
Have you had any side effects from the pill? Just curious.
