Missed Period After Starting Mini Pill: What to Know

Hi, I am 19 years old and just started college in the fall. I was on quasence the generic of seasonale for six months and on Tuesday October 16,2012 I was changed to Nora-Be, which is a mini pill due to migraines and it is suppose to be better for my seizures. That Thursday night/ Friday morning I had sex with my boyfriend and we used a condom. I started bleeding on Friday afternoon and it last till Tuesday morning, which my doctor said could happen since I switched in the middle of of the first pack of quasence. They said its normal. Well I had sex again Tuesday the 23, once the bleeding had stopped and we used a condom then also. I was suppose to get my period the week of November 4, but I didn't get it. So I waited a week and took a pregnancy test(ept brand) which came up negative. From that week till the second week of December I took 6 more (ept and first response) all of which were negative too. I missed my period for November and it doesn't look like ill get my period in December either. So I haven't had my period all three months I have been on the mini pill. I take my pill at exactly 10oclock central time every day give or take five minutes. I haven't missed a pill. I know that there is no sugar pills on this medicine and I have called my doctor back and his nurse said everything is fine and I'm not pregnant but I want a second opinion. So what do you think?

Kayla, The nurse cannot tell you over the phone that everything is fine and you are not pregnant. They should have you come in for an exam and a pregnancy test. You can get a FREE test at a local pregnancy resource center. To find one go to http://www.optionline.org
I was thinking that maybe you switching the birth control pill has altered your natural cycle but I can't diagnose over the internet. If your doctor will not give you a correct diagnosis, then you might want to get a second opinion from another doctor. But the doctor would have to give you an exam. Let me know what happens.
