Understanding Spotting: Pregnancy, Periods & What to Expect

Question
I don't have irregular periods, but last month I my period didn't come on time so I thought I was pregnant. A couple of days later Iwent to go take a pregnancy test. The doctor said it was negative.
She also told me it could still be possible that I am pregnant because early pregnancy can detect negative. About A week later I started spotting. It lasted for about six days.Could that mean I am pregnant and if so will I have any bleeding this month?

Answer
Hello Tiffany. 6 days of spotting makes it unlikely that you are pregnant. Your cycle may be a little mixed up for a couple of months now and you may not have a predictable period for awhile. Be sure to use two forms of birth control EVERY time if you are not wanting to become pregnant. Cheri.
