QuestionQUESTION: Hi. Okay My Cycle is 22 Days Every month. I'm Confused About When I might have ovulated Being that my last period was 10-08-2009 an i expected to come on 10-29-2009 my period last for 7 days could it be possible that i have a short luteal phase considering i have a short cycle? Also it is now 11-7-2009 and i still haven't came on i took a test on 11-3-2009 an again on 11-5-2009 both were negative but could that be wrong an if so how when the early response test says you can test 5 days before your Missed period an I'm 8 days late? Or could it just be to early to test? An if so what would be a good time to test for the correct answer? symptoms: missed period, head hurting, cramping with no period, increased cervical mucus(milky white stretchy), and swollen sometimes sore breast. Thanks in advance.
ANSWER: If your cycles are only 22 days, it is extremely unlikely that you are going to be able to get pregnant until you fix that problem. But, if they vary from month to month it could be that you are now having a long one. The only way to know would be charting. If you have not been charting your temperatures and mucus signs, the only thing to do is wait and see.
If you have a temperature chart that shows a spike in temperature that stayed up and is still up now, it will either go down when your period starts or it will stay up which indicates pregnancy. the other symptoms you list could be anything or nothing. If I knew when in your cycle you last had sexual relations, that might help also. There are only certain days during the month that you can get pregnant.

QUESTION: I started my 1st birth control pack on Sept. 13 I only took a week an 2 days of it than stopped due to it making me sick. So i stopped on step. 22. Than I came on my period on Oct. 8 An went off Oct. 15(lasted 7 days normal but super heavy 1st 4 days) I had Sex the 15 16 17 18 and 19 than again on he 23 24 and 25(we live together) my period was suppose to come on the 29 but didn't. If this is just a long period shouldn't I expect for it to come before the 9th of Nov. considering that would make it a 31 day cycle? If so thats 2 days away an normally before my period i have a dry phase an Im not experiencing that as of now actually Im having an extreme increase in my discharge I've never had this much discharge an especially not for this long. AnswerWell, taking birth control pills for even a few days can really mess you up. You may have to wait another month before your body gets back to normal again after the pill. Sorry. It's bad stuff as you can see from only taking it a few days. If, however, you did ovulate this month those dates when you had sex would be prime ones for getting pregnant. pregnancy tests are generally pretty reliable.
