QuestionHi,I am running 5 days late on my period and the home pregnancy test was negative. How early do the symptoms of pregnancy appear?Could I still be pregnant if at present I dont have any symptoms of pregnancy?
AnswerHello, Priya,
I would have to say that because women are different from each other, there is no way to know when symptoms of pregnancy will first appear in a woman. It also depends on what you regard as symptoms. I experienced a sensation within days of conception each time, and other women have reported the same thing. But I never had morning sickness.
Some tests won't show positive until at least a week after a woman expects her period.
If you feel that now would be a bad time to be pregnant, I recommend you find an organization near you and go talk to them about what your options are. You deserve to know all your options before taking any action, if you decide to do so. You can find an organization near you by going to this web site:
http://www.optionline.org/
Please do this. They also offer free pregnancy tests, and many of them can now offer ultrasound as well.
Please take care of yourself. Don't let anyone harm you. If you are having difficulties, please don't have an abortion. Abortion is dangerous, and can kill you, leave you seriously disabled, or kill or seriously hurt your future children. You deserve better.
Wait a few days and test again, or go to the local organization and get the free pregnancy test. Please let me know what happens. Stay safe!
