Pubic Bone Bump & Bruise After Fall: What Should You Do?

Hello,

I fell off my bike 2 Sundays ago and I now have a bump and a small bruise on right side of my pubic bone.  The bump is about a large marble size (quarter in diameter.)  I am not sure if I should go to the OBGYN regarding this issue.  My period was supposed to start this week and hasn't yet.  I feel slight pressure but it does not hurt.  Would you recomend I make an appointment?

If you noticed the bump right after your fall from the bicycle, and it hurts, I would suggest that you go to your gynecologist and check it out. It may merely be a bruise, but if it is a hematoma and is growing, it may have to be evacuated. I doubt that your missing of your period has anything to do with the bump or with the accident. However, I would make an appointment in any event.
