Labia Minora Bumps: Causes, Symptoms & What to Do

Question
Today i noticed a bump on my labia minora. This is the second time this has happened. I have had a pimple before, but they're nothing like that. There's no noticable bump untill you touch it, and it is painful to the touch. The last one went away after a week. Do you know what it might be? Is it just a deeply rooted pimple?

thank you.

Answer
The bump may merely be a hair follicle cyst, which can be due to an inflamed hair flooicle. It certainly can be another pimple or vessicle. Does it hurt? Does it contain any fluid or other material (blood, pus, etc). It may be a nodule of some sort. It does not sound like a herpetic lesion. If you are concerned, have your gynecologist examine it.
