Understanding VBAC Risks & C-Section Decisions After Previous Cesarean

Question
1998 I was induced at 42 weeks and stalled at 7 cm, then they gave me a Cesarean (low bikini cut). 2001 I had a successful VBAC at exactly 40 weeks.  This year due to insurance I had to change OB/Gyn and am due with twins on the 23rd. The Dr.s encouraged me to get to 37 weeks, now that I am they are telling me that they think I should have a C-section to avoid my uterus rupturing.  I have serious questions and concerns why they don't want to induce for another VBAC? The Dr.s on call this week want to do a Csection at 39 weeks (Wed.) What can I do to get them to induce me instead? The other Dr.s (who aren't on call) would attempt to induce.  I am very frustrated.  Can you help me?

Answer
Hello Theresa- NO induction and NO section- there is NO reason that you need either procedure. Just allow these babies to get as much time inutero as possible- tell them ALL to get lost and let mother nature and your babies decide when the time is right. I can't understand why you would WANT an induction. Please relax and let it happen when it's ready. All the best- Cheri.
