AnswerIf you are getting normal peiods, each month, you should be able to conceive. We do not usually start an infertility workup until you have been actively trying to conceive for, at least,12 months. Remember, that is only 12 days of ovulation. If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs around cycle day #14. YOu can only become pregnant on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. If you do become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. If your period is not regular, then you may not be ovulating and should consult your gynecologist to see if the DepoProvera had anthing to do with that. There should be no residual effects of the IUD. Keep trying for another 6 months. Good luck.
