Fireworks and Newborns: Protecting Your 6-Week-Old Baby

Our baby is 6 weeks old and we want to know if it is ok to go see a fireworks display on July 4th.  Will the noise be too much?
The location we will be watching from is close to the launch area.

Hello James. I do think your baby will not be too happy about the noise. If you get baby well cuddled into Mommy's body and cover it's head with a couple of thick blankets, it might be okay- just be prepared to leave if baby becomes too distressed. All the best- Cheri.
