AnswerHello Vie. When such a thing does happen, the drs get very paranoid for a period of time. I would be interested to know where you live. Uterine rupture is VERY rare and most often happens as the result of induction by the drs with artificial hormones called pitocin. There is NO reason to have another section- I urge you to seek out your local midwives and either transfer care to one of them or engage their services as a Doula-labor support- to accompany you during labor at home and in hospital. It sounds like you are going to need a STRONG advocate to resist medical intervention. I would bet that your dr has never told you that cesarian delivery is FAR riskier for both mother and baby has he/she? You might enjoy a website called BirthLove AND go to a site called Nancy Wainer Cohen- she is THE expert in section prevention and you would be wise to read her two books called Open Season and The Silent Knife. All the best- Cheri.
