QuestionHello, My name is Delan i am currently living in Norway, i have been trying to conceive for the past 6 months but haven't been getting lucky. I have several symptoms that add up to several conditions i may have such as frequent urination, blowded stomach, nausea, painful intercourse mainly in my stomach, these are just the main ones, can you tell me if these sound like any familiar condition. I have done some online research myself and i think i may have endometriosis but i have not got a check up for a very long time. Alright thanks for your time. -Best regards Delan
AnswerHello Delan from Norway,
Six months is certainly not enough time to determine if you have a fertility problem or not. Statistically, most women under 30 years old will take 8-12 months to conceive. For that reason, in the U.S., we don't consider a woman to have an infertility diagnosis until they have been unable to get pregnant for 12 months.
In terms of your symptoms, they are very suspicious for endometriosis. The only way to make that diagnosis is through a surgical procedure called "laparoscopy."
Good Luck,
